What is a REALTOR®?

Not all real estate licensees are REALTORS®. People frequently use the term REALTOR® in a generic way, but the term is actually legal for use only by members of the National Association of REALTORS®. Choosing a REALTOR® means choosing a true professional. By their affiliation with the National Association of REALTORS®, our members obligate themselves to a higher standard of performance. When buying and selling property, it is prudent to place your trust in a real estate professional who meets the rigorous standards of REALTOR® membership. 

A REALTOR® subscribes to a strict Code of Ethics and high professional standards. The Code of Ethics contains fair and honest rules that govern conduct and provide access to arbitration and dispute resolution.
